Traditional Irish Music

Vocals- Guitar - Mandolin - Harmonica - Bass

Donny O'Mangan is a singer/instrumentalist currently living in Shrewsbury Massachusetts.

He is half Irish, half English, and therefore caught in the middle (in the Winter and Spring favoring Irish, in Summer country).

In March he plays tunes such as those by the Irish Rovers, Clancy Brothers, and Dubliners.

He plays solo and in bands for private functions and has been know to appear at local Irish pubs as well.

From time to time he has been the lead singer for the Galway Cliff Jumpers, Intel-involved Troubadours and the Charles River Band.

I have a PA system good for audiences from 50 to 200.

The Galway Cliff Jumpers

The Galway Cliff Jumpers assemble for larger events, where Donny, Steve and John fill out the sound with guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and rousing choruses. Humor and fun is the theme for the lively tunes, such as "Whiskey in a Jar" and "Irish Rover," tempered with beautifully haunting renditions of "Danny Boy" and "Wild Mountain Thyme." Donny, Steve and John play a variety of instruments, and switch off throughout the show. The mandolin and banjo get passed from one player to the next. John fiddles as well, and Donny whistles his Paddy Richter harmonica while stomping the Celtic bodhran. The group is 2 or 3 players usually.

Donny lives just a stone’s throw from Worcester, MA, Steve a short swim from Bolton, and John farther east in the general direction of Erin's isle.

Last St Patrick's Day, Donny and the Galway Cliff Jumpers played a 2 hour show at the Flat Penny (Berlin MA), and one-hour shows at Shrewsbury Crossing (Shrewsbury) and Whitney House (Northboro):

Pubs/establishments played:
